Q. What do I need to bring with me for registration?
Ans. Bring yourself and a smile
Q. Can I Enter the Event at Registration on Saturday 21st May and Sunday 22nd?
Ans. Yes. But we would encourage you to register in advance
Q. Can I walk the course?
Ans. Yes. Please be aware…. Competitors who have not crossed onto the Quays from Paul St (site of the New Tourist Office) by 12.23pm (this is 2hrs 50mins from START) will be stopped to allow the Dublin – Wexford train to pass.
Q. Will I get an official time for my race?
Ans. Yes. We are using timing chips. You will receive one at Registration. Please ensure you give it back at the Finish line.
Q. Will I receive a Medal for finishing the Half Marathon?
Ans. Yes! Everyone who finishes will receive a Medal. Relay teams will receive one per person.
Q. Can I raise funds for a chosen Charity?
Ans. Yes. We would encourage you to do so. (see Local Charity section of website)
Q. Is it possible to get a refund of the entry fee?
Unfortunately, no. We cannot refund your fee or defer entry to the following year under any circumstances.
Q. Is there an age restriction for participants?
Yes. For both the marathon and the team relay (2 per team), participants must be 18 years or older on 19th April 2009. This is in line with the IAAF guidelines.>
Under 18’s can participate as a Relay Team of 3 participants ONLY. This is in line with the IAAF guidelines that the minimum age is 18 for distances of 10k and above on the road.
Q . Will the course be marked in miles or kilometres?
Ans. The course is officially measured in km’s, so the marking on the day will also be in km’s.
