(Minimum two per team. Maximum three per team)
Variety of Events: Run or Walk the Wexford Half Marathon Relay - 21.1km
The Wexford Half Marathon is a single loop course taking in some of the finest sights Wexford Town and surrounds have to offer.
The course Starts in Ferrybank and Finishes along the Quays of Wexford Town.

The Relay
The Relay takes place on the same Course as the Half Marathon - starting at the same time 10.15am.All Relay participants are requested to be across the Wexford Town Bridge in Ferrybank at 9.15am.
We suggest you allow extra time for parking…
Each Relay team will be given ONE timing chip at Registration on Friday or Saturday which the first person on Leg 1 will wrap around his/ her ankle. When they reach the person on Leg 2 (Whiterock Hill) they will pass the timing chip to them. Similarly Leg 2 will pass timing chip to Leg 3 (Maldron Hotel) person. He/ she will attach it to their ankle.
The above applies to a 3 person relay team.
2 person relay teams will do the same at Leg 3.
Note: Timing chips should be attached just above the ankle (i.e. not in your hand) otherwise it may not register a time at Finish.
Also note if you don’t finish with the timing chip you will not get an official finishers time for the team.
Teams of Two (only) – Please Read
Teams of 2 participants in a relay team. The distances are divided as follows:

Leg 1 & 2 – Start with the Half Marathon runners at 10.15am outside Riverbank Hotel in Ferrybank.
Note: Leg 1 & 2 participants are requested to put their dry clothes bag* into luggage area of (Buses B).
Leg 1 & 2 participants will be returning to the Quays on this bus.
As this Bus leaves at 9.45am we recommend that you bring an old t -shirt or bin bag to stay warm for the remaining Half hour. Should you discard any items of clothing in advance of the Start please leave them in bins provided.

Leg 3 – Will catch (Buses B) from outside Riverbank Hotel in Ferrybank. Bus leaves at 9am Note: Leg 2 participants are requested to put their dry clothes bag* into the Bag Drop Van. These will be transported to the Finish area for Pickup upon finishing. Half Marathon participants will do the same.

*A Dry clothes bag is recommended. Following finishing your run you may need to change clothes due to rain or sweating. Your dry bag should also contain a drink to rehydrate and perhaps a snack. Do not leave valuables in Dry Bag as Organisers cannot accept responsibility for lost or mislaid bags.
Teams of Three (only) – Please Read
Teams of 3 participants in a relay team. The distances are divided as follows:

Transport Details
Bus Outward Journeys
Buses A & B leave at 9.45am from Ferrybank HotelOnly participants will be allowed on Bus. Strictly no spectators allowed.
There is only enough space for participants.
Buses A – Goes to Whiterock Hill
Buses B – Goes to Maldron Hotel
Bus Return Journeys
All Buses will return to the Finish area on the Quays.Buses A will return from Whiterock Hill with Leg 1 participants.
Buses B will return from Maldron Hotel with Leg 2 participants.
Individual Buses will leave as soon as they are full. Participants are requested to be patient as bus fills. Toilets will be available close to buses.

Driving to Changeover Points…
Participants in the Relay event are kindly requested not to drive to the changeover points. There is no parking available in either location.

Prizes
There are no prizes for the relay teams as this is a group event.Each member of the Relay Team will receive a Wexford Half Marathon Medal.

Train Crossing Time – Please be aware…
Competitors who have not crossed onto the Quays from Paul St (site of the New Tourist Office) by 12.49pm (this is 2hrs 30mins from START) will be stopped to allow the Dublin – Wexford train to pass. Your Absolute co-operation is required here. Anyone who does not obey the Stewards at this point in time will be immediately disqualified and no longer be considered part of the race.
